The government of Punjab has allotted a huge distribution budget of 12.6 Billion rupees for the Roshan Gharana scheme. The budget has been approved by the Punjab Assembly and it aims to distribute solar panels among the 50,000 eligible families in Punjab. The initiative of specifying a huge budget for the solarization of houses will greatly impact on economy.
The solar system provided under the Punjab Roshan gharana scheme will include,
- Solar plates
- Batteries
- Installation frame
- Other required equipments
Roshan gharan program Interest-free installments
The budget also includes an amount to help citizens with interest-free installments under the Roshan gharana scheme. The government of Punjab will pay 75% of the cost and families with more than 300 units of consumption per month have just to pay the remaining 25% amount, that too in interest-free installments in 5 years. Families with less than 200 units will get a free solar system without any cost.

This registration process will take some time to complete as it is a very big project so after the registration project is completed Roshan gharana solar scheme distribution date will be announced.
The government of Punjab plans to distribute Roshan gharana solar panels from the 14th of August on Independence Day of Pakistan. The process will take 2/3 months to install solar systems to eligible families.
How will solar panels be distributed?
Once the documents of all the eligible families are collected, a lucky draw will decide which 50,000 families are lucky enough to get those solar systems installed on their roofs.
